We believe the best stories, like well-struck shots, should leave their mark.

Pitch Mark is a destination golf journal focused on long-form storytelling. We travel to courses and resorts where golf is inseparable from place — shaped by land, design, hospitality, and time.

Our work is grounded in respect for the game and the craft of writing. We’re interested less in rankings and itineraries, and more in the moments that linger: the walk, the weather, the conversations, and the subtle details that define an experience.

Tyler J. King

Tyler aka Bonesaw is a lifelong golfer and writer drawn to places where the game reveals itself slowly.

Influenced as much by long-form journalism as the rhythms of the walk, he writes about golf destinations with an eye for detail and a tolerance for weather.

His work is shaped by an appreciation for Hunter S. Thompson, strong opinions held loosely, and the belief that most good rounds — and good stories — are better with a Miller Lite.

Tyler's 2024 article for SCOREgolf, "Making Memories of a Life Time at Cabot Cape Breton", was recognized by the Golf Journalists of Canada as one of the year's best feature stories.
